Selection Criteria
Criteria guiding a Telethon Scientist review
- Scientific quality
- Impact on the field
- Creativity
- Innovation
- Relevance to Telethon’s mission
Telethon expects that each Telethon Scientist be talented and productive. In particular, it is expected that they be at the forefront of their field of research, or that they be able to carve a special, competitive niche in a broad research theme.
They are also expected to experiment creative approaches to relevant biological questions.
The link between basic research and clinical aspects should be sought as much as possible. All Telethon Scientists should hold great promise for future scientific productivity.
In case of promotions, the Telethon Review Commitee will also evaluate the way each Telethon Scientist was able to blend into the host institution, to create collaboration networks and to participate in the local scientific environment.
